The President of Zamil Steel announced that the company has completed the first of the two stages of a $46.7 million investment in constructing a new facility in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, Bahrain Tribune reported.

The factory will have a capability of generating 40,000 metric tones of steel for steel buildings, open-web steel joists and floor decking. Zamil Steel's new facility marks a very significant step in the company's global expansion initiative.

Zamil Steel's president also stated that the national sales of the company have gradually increased by an impressive 40 percent over the past few years. The company's sales in the pre-engineered steel-buildings industry has reached their highest ever which have resulted in maintenance of Zamil Steel's strength of the PEB market in GCC countries.
