Alkyd Short Glass Fibre Reinforced
Advantages
Short glass fibre gives the lowest mould shrinkage and highest elongation at break for alkyd grades within the Plascams database. Good notched izod impact strength, heat distortion temperature and density compared with other modified grades of alkyd.
Disadvantages
Low tensile strength, flexural modulus and oxygen index compared with other modified grades of alkyd.
